About Us
The Humane Society of the Delta is a non-profit organization incorporated in March of 2008 as a result of the compassion of local concerned citizens, who recognized the immediate need to advocate for the humane treatment of animals.
Mission
Our Mission is to prevent animal cruelty, abuse, and exploitation by raising awareness and effectively inspiring responsible, compassionate care to deserving companion pets.
To accomplish our mission we:
1. plan to provide education of adequate animal care and Arkansas State Guidelines involving companion pets through local media, printed literature, internet, etc.
2. will actively participate in investigations of reported abuse and prosecution of crimes
3. are presently attempting to acquire a suitable property site for a facility to house, medically treat and maintain animals
4. are attempting to raise funds through donations and planned events
5. will establish a low cost spay, neuter and vaccination program
